Strategies for Managing Abuse Related Trauma Online

The SMART (Strategies for Managing Abuse Related Trauma) Online Learning Program is part of a state wide initiative funded by the South Australian Government Department for Education. It seeks to enhance the capacity of school and early childhood personnel to effectively respond to the needs of children and young people who have experienced abuse and trauma.

It can be accessed by anyone free of charge. As a first step, you will need to register by selecting 'Create new account' below. You will not be able to progress into the training without doing so.

Any automated emails from this system may take some time to arrive in your inbox due to the security software that implemented in your email system.

All South Australian Department for Education staff need to ensure that they choose the District they work in and identify their specific role. This will ensure that effective data is collected about participation in the program.

You will need to work through each of the modules in turn. You cannot proceed to the next module until you have completed all of the module before it. You can leave the module at any time and a bookmark will be automatically placed at the point you leave. When you return, you will be prompted to go back to your bookmark or begin the module from the start.

When you have completed the training, you will be able to download and print a certificate of completion.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at smart@childhood.org.au if you have any questions about the program.

We hope you find the training interesting.
